favorite recipes of the year

it was a busy weekend. i didn't have time to take pictures of everything i ate. so i don't have much to share at the moment. yesterday was hannah's birthday and her party, and i didn't even have time to think about eating breakfast. it was sad.

so here's my current favorite recipes of the year :)

cashew cheeze, from c'est la vegan:

i loved this. it's a lot like cream cheese and it was perfect for crackers. it didn't stay in a log shape very well when it was done in the oven so i just scooped it into a dish. perfectly enjoyable either way :)

raw chocolate cake from mama in the kitchen *note* in her recipe, she uses raw honey. i replaced it with agave nectar to make it vegan:

it was amazing. so rich and the chocolate stuff on top is like a mousse. i'll definitely be making this again.

veggie burgers from oh she glows:

for sure this is THE perfect veggie burger. the best i've ever made and eaten. the flavors are great. i don't know about anyone else but i've always had trouble with veggie burgers, as in they are always falling apart on me no matter how i prepare them. didn't have a problem with these!

coconut bread from vegweb.com:

love this stuff. i had this recipe saved for about a year before i finally decided to try it. i don't know what i was waiting for! it makes a nice addition to brunch or a dessert. i bet it would make great cupcakes!

cheeze sauce from clean green simple:

the first time i made this sauce, it went on pizza like the recipe shows. it was great, it made a perfect substitute for cheese. then i had to try it with nachos, so i added some chili powder and cumin to the mix. i'm in love.

some recipes that i can't wait to try:

- mediterranean bruschetta from a healthy passion
- pumpkin apple harvest rice from healthy. happy. life.
- braided pesto bread from strawberry pepper
- pumpkin ice cream from spabettie

nom nom!
